Sustainable business practices are ingrained in Vetter’s DNA and our fundamental duty to our fellow man and the generations to come. Henryk Badack, who has led Vetter's global sustainability initiatives since 2014, is aware that this involves more than simply achieving carbon neutrality. He recently appeared as a guest on the “Let's talk PROCESS” podcast. In a brief half-hour segment, he outlined how Vetter has been advancing its sustainability strategy for over 15 years and what it means for the company.
Among others, we are working hard to reduce waste, lower water consumption, manage resources judiciously and develop an environmentally friendly mobility strategy for our employees. In such a highly regulated pharmaceutical industry, this isn’t always easy. It is, however, very important to us, and there is also increasing demand for it from our customers.
In the podcast, Henryk Badack also discusses the challenge of reconciling profitability, growth, and sustainability goals that all seem to contradict each other. Because in addition to investing heavily in sustainability, Vetter also reached a significant milestone this year, reaching €1 billion euros in sales for the first time.
