All set for departure!
Project Week is integral to the Trainee Master's Program and gives the students a comprehensive look into our thriving global company. The students of the M.Sc. Pharmaceutical Science & Business program were on location near Chicago from March 1st to 8th – working hard and playing hard too.
The program kicked off with a weekend of socializing, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Alexander Schuhmacher, Dr. Claudia Roth, and Lena Zimmermann. The study group explored the Windy City’s fascinating architecture with a river boat tour and enjoyed a beautiful sunset from Observation Deck 360°.
Then the serious work of really getting to know Vetter began. The graduate trainees worked intensively in groups on various Vetter topics. They spent three days at the renowned Rosalind Franklin University before heading to our state-of-the-art site in the Illinois Science + Technology Park in Skokie, a suburb of Chicago. The Vetter Development Services Chicago (VDS C) site works on the early clinical development of drugs.
The students were given a glimpse into the American way of working and exchanged experiences with their colleagues. The week concluded on Friday on an emotional note with a visit to the Northshore Hospital in Evanston, where they witnessed firsthand how R&D is put into practice.
If you would like to travel to Chicago as a student yourself, you can register for the new Trainee Master's Program from the end of March, which starts in October. All information about the Trainee Master's Program can be found here
