After a mere six months, the interns, apprentices and dual students can already look back on memorable moments of their successful projects:
Making Easter crafts in the refugee housing
In the spring, Vetter apprentices worked with children from the Ravensburg refugee shelter. They made Easter decorations together with the little ones and taught them about common local customs.
Tech support time
The Vetter team spent two days at the Bruderhaus Foundation retirement home doing IT troubleshooting and providing useful tips on smartphones, tablets, and more.
Apprentices at the food bank
On two separate mornings, the Vetter Goes Social team gave hands-on help at the food bank in Ravensburg.
Vesper with senior citizens
Helping hands, a delicious dinner, and great conversation – this was what was in store for the 16 residents of the Alpenland Senior Center this past July. Apprentices and residents prepared a light but filling evening meal and enjoyed it together.
Buy one, give one!
With the "Buy-one-give-one" program at Aldi, customers were encouraged to buy not just one, but as many extra products as they wanted to give away. The additional products purchased and all the money donated went directly to the food bank.
And it's not just the active members of Vetter goes Social who are enthusiastic about the initiative; All of the project partners were highly appreciative of their commitment. Three enthusiastic ladies from the senior center are already looking forward to future programs: "We'll be involved in upcoming projects, too."
All interns, apprentices, and dual students can do their part – to drive not only exciting projects within the company forward, but also community initiatives in and around Ravensburg. Apply to join our team!
