Promoting health, shaping the future: our new “Healthy Start” program
The beginning of a career marks a critical milestone in a young adult’s life. It’s a time ripe with new challenges. How can young professionals balance their studies, work, and personal life? And how to best manage mental stress? To equip our apprentices and students with the tools they need to thrive in this new phase of their lives, our Company Physician Services Team initiated the "Healthy Start" program. We firmly believe that by fostering the well-being of our young talents, we are making a smart investment in a successful future—for our employees and our company.
Well prepared for the future
The “Healthy Start” program incorporates both mandatory and elective courses, which are led by experienced internal trainers. The compulsory modules cover important subjects such as being attentive while on the road, preparing for exams, and understanding dependency disorders. Participants can also choose from a variety of other courses, including mindfulness, the perils of multi-level marketing (MLM) as well as gambling addiction; nutrition, exercise and positive mindset are also available. The purpose of offering such a wide-ranging curriculum is to enhance the physical and mental well-being of our young professionals and to equip them with tools that are essential for a successful start to their careers. Not only does “Healthy Start” help make it easier to transition to professional life, it also boosts motivation and fosters long-term employability. After its conclusion, participants of the 2023 pilot program reported feeling healthier and being more conscious of their health.
“Healthy Start” at the High-Tech Summit
The importance of having a healthy start to a career goes far beyond Vetter’s walls. This is why Veronika Winter and Lisa Knill from the Company Physician Services team participated in the High-Tech Summit in Stuttgart on November 26, 2024. Every year, leading minds from business, science and politics come together at the summit to develop innovative solutions for digital transformation and the promotion of young talent. Veronika Winter and Lisa Knill presented “Healthy Start” in their workshop, emphasizing the importance of promoting health early on and inspiring other companies to start similar programs.
