This is Material Preparation
We prepare rooms, machines, and packaging materials during designated downtimes to ensure that production processes run smoothly, efficiently and on schedule. Adhering to hygiene protocols is key.
My typical workday
After the shift change, we split our team into different areas. For example, my job may be to dismantle, clean, and reassemble the pressure vessel. Or to dismantle and sterilize the container in which the solution is produced.
When I dismantle machine parts for the cleanrooms, I remove the smallest valves. We use lye or degreasing agents to clean, depending on the material. My team and I also prepare primary packaging – like stoppers and closures – for filling.

Why I came to Vetter
I was a baker before joining Vetter. At the time, a colleague had moved to Vetter, and he was so thrilled about his new job that I immediately applied here too. The regular hours, paid overtime, higher salary, and many benefits won me over. The work is not as physically demanding as at the bakery. I'm really happy that I’m here now!
What I like about my job
There is a lot of variety in my department. We take turns doing things, which I really like. My favorite thing to do is to load the parts that then run through the washing, drying or cooling chambers.
Would my job be a good fit for you?
I work really well and very closely with my team. That's important because many things have to go hand in hand. Anyone considering a job in material preparation should be able to take responsibility, work meticulously, and be a team player. The workload is manageable because our production and machine downtimes are very well planned, and because you can always count on your colleagues.
