What do you do at Vetter and what do you like about it?
“My name is Nicolas Reznerski, and I am apprenticing as a pharmaceutical manufacturing technician at Vetter. This means that I am directly involved in compounding. What I like about it is that no two days are the same, because we are always fulfilling different orders. I like the variety, as well as working in a team.”
What do you enjoy doing most in your free time?
“My favorite thing is to get on my mountain bike and ride downhill – you do that at maximum speed in so-called bike parks with trails that are built among trees or along narrow woodland trails. It’s great to spend a lot of time in nature like this and to be a part of a wonderful community of riders. You see each other again and again – at the German Championships, for example, in which I'm taking part.”
Which abilities are useful for both your job and your hobby?
“Three things immediately come to mind. First: concentrating. When we’re compounding, there’s no margin for error, and it's the same with mountain biking. When you're racing downhill at 60 to 70 kilometers (37 to 42 miles) an hour, you better not make any mistakes. Second: being motivated. I like what I do, and I like to put my all into it. Third: being precise. It's just as important on the motorbike as it is in the lab.”
