Growing successfully and sustainably means giving the specialists of tomorrow access to the best resources we can offer. And on November 18, the time had finally come and the doors of the new Vetter Training Center at Helmut-Vetter-Straße 6 officially opened. Senator Udo J. Vetter – together with the management team led by Thomas Otto and Peter Sölkner – symbolically handed the keys over to the training team, Dr. Claudia Roth, Jörg Hausberger, Eva-Maria Stotz, and Vetter apprentices. Also in attendance were 100 distinguished guests from the worlds of politics, education, and the media.
After the opening ceremony, guests were invited to tour the 5,000-square-meter center. They learned about the activities in which apprentices – 75 at a time – will be involved. The Vetter Training Center offers a range of modern facilities, including meeting rooms, collaborative work areas for self-organized learning, a VR room for virtual learning, and rooms to conduct certified German Chamber of Industry and Commerce courses as well as training programs for career changers. It wasn’t just the center that had plenty on offer. Vetter's pharmaceutical technicians conducted experiments in state-of-the-art compounding rooms and laboratories. The technical training students showcased projects they designed themselves, while the IT apprentices gave visitors the opportunity to find the training that suited them best using an app they had developed.
Celebrating the future
And what better way to mark the opening of a new location that will continue to be a meeting point for so many young people than with a party. For one afternoon, we transformed the third floor of the training center into party central – complete with a DJ, burgers and drinks, and a challenge for the apprentices. What a fantastic way to celebrate the future!
