Brainstorming great ideas
Vetter is home to people with a wide range of skills, backgrounds, and ideas. This was evident at the Vetter Hackathon 2025 at the end of March, which brought together 38 employees from different departments. Eight teams developed innovative solutions to the challenges Vetter faces in its day-to-day operations. Through networking and interdepartmental collaboration, participants came away with new inspiration, exciting ways to innovate, and a wealth of information, all of which will serve them well in the future.
Key topics
The Vetter Hackathon was designed to help exploit the processes that have potential for optimization, which we come across almost every day at work. Of all the relevant problems that participants saw and suggested, four were chosen for the hackathon:
1. Certificates: How can we process incoming certificates more efficiently?
2. Appointments: How can we make it easier to schedule the various types of appointments?
3. KPIs: How can we provide leadership with KPIs more quickly and easily?
4. Digital literacy: How can we improve users’ digital skills?
Exciting topics were tackled by interdisciplinary teams at the Kapuziner creative center in Ravensburg. This protected space is ideal for trying out new things and collaborating. The interplay of different backgrounds and fresh perspectives became the catalyst for innovative ideas.
Ideas that inspire
Participants were systematically guided by the Innovation Partner team. External coaches provided insight into the world of innovation and gave feedback that helped the group quickly find answers to the challenges they faced.
The goal was to develop practical solutions for improving the day-to-day work of all employees. Senior Vice President Kai Vogt points out, “I’m very pleased that the hackathon is now firmly established — and that so many of our employees are eager to take part. It produces excellent solutions that benefit us all.”
Hackathons have become integral to our innovation landscape and will continue to bring together creators and visionaries.
