My career at Vetter
After completing my training as a biological technical assistant at the age of 21, I began working at Vetter in Compounding. At the same time – with Vetter's support – I worked on getting qualified to be a master craftsman in pharmaceutical technology. I then became a shift coordinator and, about two years later, team manager of a production group. In this role, I was allowed to fill in for the production manager while he was away, and I was later allowed to take over the lead completely. Two years ago, a production manager position opened up in my original department, Compounding, and I really wanted to go back there. In Compounding, we prepare the active ingredients that are supplied to us into solutions so that they can be filled as medicines. Every ounce counts. And as a team, we have to be able to rely on each other at all times.

Compounding at Vetter
Sterile rooms, modern technology, a wide range of tasks – in Compounding, we prepare the active ingredients into solutions so that they can be filled as medicinal products. This requires a great deal of trust. Pharmaceutical production relies on our precise solutions, as do all the patients who rely on our uniformly high quality. Take a look behind the scenes!

What I particularly enjoy about my job
I’m always impressed by how people at Vetter coming from different backgrounds come together as a team to achieve excellent results. I also really appreciate the many opportunities for professional and personal development that are on offer here.
How I was able to grow and develop at Vetter
I was lucky to have worked in an environment in which I could thrive from the very start. My managers always believed in me and supported me. As a junior employee, I was able to actively contribute to new projects and gain valuable experience. Looking back, I’m sure that it was my gradual development into a team and production manager that gave me the confidence to present my ideas and suggestions later on.
What gives me pride at work
Overall, I’m really proud of how the Ravensburg South site in Mariatal has developed in recent years. I’ve seen so many exciting changes since I started in 2009! I’m especially proud of what we’ve accomplished in the production group, a tremendous achievement that took a lot of work and dedication. And today I’m proud of my team who inspires me every day.
The advice I would give to my younger self
It's not so much about being the fastest or the smartest. What really matters is what you accomplish together as a team. And what’s even more valuable is when everyone enjoys working with you. Because the truly great solutions come not just from theory, but from practical experience and collaboration.
