Data science and artificial intelligence (B. Sc.)
This is what you will learn this during the studies:
The dual study of data science and artificial intelligence focuses on dealing with and interpreting complex data. The goal of the three-year study at DHBW Ravensburg is to collect and analyse data volumes in a targeted manner. It’s about understanding data so that you can visualise it and integrate it into the business context. In principle, data is becoming increasingly important today as it enables new opportunities and business models. During your studies, you will learn how to use the potential of these data in a meaningful and efficient way and to derive recommendations for action.

- We thoroughly introduce you to existing processes and systems – from initial user contact in the IT help desk to daily work in the Digital Workplace to systemic support for value-creating processes.
- As part of your initial project work, you support the further development of IT, for example by analysing and optimising processes, selecting new systems or testing future technologies.
- In Controlling, you will learn to measure, evaluate and control the company and processes in numbers.
- Data Science you can grasp: In our data science team, you apply your mathematical and technical knowledge from theory to find practical solutions.

Computer Science – IT Security (B. Sc.)
This is what you will learn this during the studies:
The studies in Computer Science with a focus on IT security deals with the security of companies and products and the corresponding IT strategies. The challenge of the future will be to develop security concepts and secure system architectures. Your know-how and reliability within IT are therefore important. In contrast to classical IT studies, programming does not play an essential role in IT security, for which we attach great importance to legal aspects. That’s why you’ll gain extensive knowledge of IT law, attack scenarios and the right choice of reliable defence technologies during your studies.

- We thoroughly introduce you to processes and systems – from initial user contact in the IT helpdesk to daily work in the Digital Workplace to systemic support for value-creating processes.
- Consulting in IT: As part of your initial project work, you support the further development of IT, for example by analysing and optimizing processes, selecting new systems or testing future technologies.
- Together with our IT team you develop reliable security concepts and secure system architectures.
- Analyse current attack capabilities and help close security vulnerabilities.
- You follow new legal requirements to protect our company and help implement them.
- You apply the newly learned theoretical knowledge directly and master IT security techniques in designing systems, networks and data.

Applying for your dual study program in technology is exciting, to be sure! Nevertheless, we try to make it as relaxed as possible - and this is how we do it:

Tips for your application
- With your application documents, you show us who you are and what makes you special in a clear and concise way. We are therefore pleased if you think of everything and the documents give a good picture of you.
- The good news is that you don't need a letter of motivation for your application. If you send us one anyway, we can of course find out even more about you. So if you would like to tell us why you would like to work in this profession, we will get to know you better. This can increase your chances...
- ... and maybe we'll invite you to an interview. We look forward to getting to know you and your professional ambitions. If you are well informed about our company and the apprenticeship programme, you will be able to ask us about anything that is on your mind.

Frequently asked questions about our dual study programs
How do I apply for a dual study program at Vetter?
Simple and uncomplicated online via our job portal. There you will find all the positions for school students and can then start your application by clicking on your desired position.
When does a dual study program begin, and until when can I apply?
The dual study program begins annually on September 1. However, our open positions are already available on the job portal in June of the previous year. As long as the position is advertised, you can apply for it. As soon as it is filled, it is no longer displayed in the job portal.
What documents should my application include?
You can upload the following documents to your online applicant profile:
- Curriculum vitae
- Certificates
- optional cover letter - this is not a must, but it allows us to get to know you better, which can of course increase your chances
My desired IT course is not included, what can I do?
The open positions for the next start of the study program will be available in our job portal starting in early June. If the desired IT studies are not included, activate the "Job Notification" function in your applicant account. Then we can inform you as soon as an appropriate job is posted.
I don't know which course of study is right for me. What now?
We understand. Because it is not so easy to find the right course of study.
