Which positions are suitable for career changers?
Depending on vacancy, we offer the following positions for career changers:

- Further education as IHK specialist for pharmaceutical production (m/f/d)
Can I apply without prior pharmaceutical knowledge? What do I really need to show?
You do not need a pharmaceutical background or a completed training course for your career change with us. However, good knowledge of German (at least level B2) is important to us for optimal documentation in pharmaceutical production as well as for smooth communication within the team.
Will I receive on-the-job training?
Yes, it is especially important to us. That’s why we create an individual induction plan for you and provide you with an experienced induction mentor. The induction into the filling takes about one year and in the visual inspection about three months. In this way, we prepare you optimally for your new tasks – and you can look forward to good and long-term cooperation in your team.
As a career changer, do I work in shifts?
Yes, we work in shifts in pharmaceutical production. Vetter has different shift models with early, late and/or night shifts. Of course, you will always receive your shift plan early – usually even one year in advance – for the best possible planning.
In addition: Our 3-shift model can be worthwhile for you, because in addition to the attractive salary, you will also receive additional pay for shift and weekend work. We also take great care to maintain your work-life balance, for example with our working time account or the shift account.
Will I wear work clothes? Will they be provided to me?
Yes, we wear special sterile work clothes instead of ordinary street clothes. Only in this way can we meet the strict requirements of hygiene and purity. Of course, we provide you with these clothes and also take care of the cleaning.
Please note: We must forgo the use of make-up, nail polish or jewelry in pharmaceutical production; after all, it is about the purity and perfect quality of medicines.
Do I also have opportunities for advancement and further development as a career changer?
Absolutely – and we would be happy to support your decision to take on more responsibility over time. At Vetter, we conduct regular feedback and goal talks, from which we jointly identify your individual training needs and development opportunities. And we promote and support your professional and personal development with numerous further education opportunities at the Vetter Academy.
Can I also work part-time with Vetter?

How to turn your career change into a career advancement
Shift coordinator (m/f/d)
You take over responsibility and lead a team of production employees in the areas of material preparation, pharmaceutical production, manual or automated visual inspection or packaging. They regulate the shift schedules and make sure everything runs smoothly.
Team manager (m/f/d)
You support, demand and support your employees and shift coordinators as disciplinary and technical managers in the areas of materials preparation, pharmaceutical production, manual or automated visual inspection or packaging.
IHK qualification as a specialist for pharmaceutical production (m/f/d)
