What do you do at Vetter and what do you like about it?

“My name is Florian Reichle and I’m doing an apprenticeship to become a machine and plant operator at Vetter. I enjoy the variety that comes with this type of work. Here no two days are the same; we always tackle new tasks that we need to complete as precisely as possible.”

What do you enjoy doing most in your free time?

“There's nothing I love more than hopping on my Kawasaki Z300 and riding around the beautiful countryside. I’ve been fascinated by motorcycling ever since I was a child. I always knew that I wanted to have my own motorbike one day, and last year this dream came true. Riding gives me a unique sense of freedom, and at the same time, I’m intrigued by the technology behind the machine.”

Which skills are useful for both your job and your hobby?

“I need technical understanding and a certain sensibility for both. It doesn't matter whether you're navigating a tight bend on a motorcycle or turning a workpiece on a lathe – what’s important is having the proper technique to get the right result. And there’s also the team spirit. It’s what I have in my apprenticeship with my team as well as with the groups with whom I tour.”
